Fried Green Tomatoes

Ingredients:

 

2 eggs

½ cup milk

1 cup flour

½ cup cornmeal

½ cup bread crumbs

2 teaspoons coarse salt

1-2 tsp garlic powder

¼ tsp ground black pepper

Canola oil for frying

 

 

Instructions:

Make thick tomato slices

Blend eggs and milk in a dish

Mix cornmeal, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, garlic powder in a flat dish

Put flour in a dish

Coat the tomatoes in flour

Dip tomatoes in egg and milk mixture

Dredge tomatoes in cornmeal mixture until well coated

Fry in skillet until golden brown on each side

Drain on paper towel and Serve
